Pink Triangle Press, Canada's leading gay and lesbian media organization, and one of the most diversified gay media enterprises in the world, with investments in various print, web, and television properties is looking for a product manager for our gay male adult dating website: Squirt.org In accordance with the mission, values, policies, procedures and practices of the Press and under the authority of Digital Business Director the Squirt Product Manager is responsible for the following tasks:
Market research:
- Obtain and analyse online and general dating, adult industry trends and business models with special attention to the gay and lesbian dating trends
- Monitor internet, mobile and tablet usage trends.
- Keep close eye on emerging technical development.
- Monitor competition for features, apps and new initiatives.
- Conduct and initiate client feedback surveys
Product strategy:
- Create online product strategies by understanding business objectives and project requirements
- Recommend engaging online solutions and web experiences based on business objectives in order to capture web visitors
- Proactively identify opportunities for growth within marketing and partnership channels to increase traffic and revenue.
- Define potential markets and regions for product launches
- Present product strategy to key stakeholders
Product management:
- Product life-cycle management: manage the lifecycle of Squirt both desktop and mobile version from its conception, through design and implementation
- Work closely with technical team to manage overall product schedule
- Optimize and develop website features and functions
- Monitoring product quality: working closely with QA and CS, interact with users to improve on overall product quality
- Keep track and prioritize all the reported bugs and schedule it with project manager for product release
- Make sure site content is up to date
- Usability: Make recommendations to improve on the usability of the site
- Responsible for the overall conversion of the site
- Brand and design: Working closely with the creative director to ensure branding guidelines are met throughout the site
- Analytics: Identify key performance indicators
- Get site metrics and optimize conversion funnels and maximize effectiveness of incoming traffic.
- Identify measurements to create baseline for product releases
- Communication: Ensure changes, improvements, product schedule are communicated to impacted groups, stakeholders
Required competencies:
- Bacherlor’s degree in Marketing or Business Administration or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of professional experience in the field of online marketing, product management, project management
- Proven strong analytical acumen and experience
- Proven success of managing online products, websites, preferred in the online dating industry
- Knowledge of internet industry (interactivity, connectivity, e-commerce and enterprise)
- Experience with web statistics tools like Google Analytics
- Knowledge of the gay male sexual culture and online dating business
- Knowledge of sexual politics and history
- Good communicational skills (oral and written)
- Decision making skills
- Organizing and planning skills
- Good interpersonal and leadership skills
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of Press history, mission, values, policies, procedures & practices

3. Windows Server Administrator / Architect - Toronto

The Windows Server Administrator / Architect is responsible for the design, provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of the web server infrastructure network, hardware and software systems. This individual ensures that system hardware, network components, operating and software systems, and related items adhere to industry best practices for design, management and security.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and manage a scalable network and server infrastructure to support our growing web presence
- Maintain the daily operations of primary business servers, load balancers and firewalls
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
- Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Add and configure new services as necessary
- Troubleshoot network issues
- Install, rebuild, configure, optimize and maintain server and network hardware and software
- Provide a combination of systems maintenance, systems upgrades, and systems troubleshooting
- Provide capacity planning, performance tuning and backup/recovery
- Complete and maintain documentation pertaining to information systems
- Performing on-call duties (24/7 off-hours)
- Supporting the business infrastructure server team and web developers
Responsibility Scope:
- 40 percent operations
- 40 percent support tasks
- 20 percent engineering
Must Have Skills:
- Generally: solid networking experience, server management, server virtualization and storage management
- Experience architecting and managing Windows 2003 – 2008 operating system environments specifically as dedicated to supporting a web server environment including Active Directory, IIS, SQL Server and .Net. That is, experience designing and deploying hardware and software for large scale internet applications, including web servers, firewalls, load balancers, database servers and storage devices
- NetApp storage solution experience
- Apache, PHP, MySQL in a Windows environment (WAMP)
- VMware deployment experience (preferably vSphere 5) ESX Server v. 3.5
- VMware Server on Windows 2008
- Network Infrastructure (General Network Services Management i.e., Static NAT, Dynamic NAT, NAT Overload, Microsoft DNS, DHCP, DHCP over VLAN & Subnetting, Microsoft RAS, Bandwidth Shaping and Policies over Microsoft NAT and Microsoft IAS
- Switching Skills: VLANing Design and Deployment, Load Balancing, Spanning Tree
- Routing Skills: Routing Protocols Design and Deployment, Multiple Gateway Protocols Design and Deployment, Load Balancing
- Quality of Services Deployment and design over VoIP and Video Over IP, AutoQOS
- Cisco Monitoring Services based on CiscoWorks and Cisco Network Assistant (CNA)
- SMTP
- In-depth knowledge of security concepts, DNS and BIND network fundamentals
Nice To Have Skills:
- Experience in a web publishing environment.
- High-volume Internet hosting experience.
- Fortigate Load Balancers
- Barracuda Firewalls
- Windows Deployment Services (WDS)
- Administering Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server
- OpenX experience
- Administering Microsoft Update Services (WSUS)
- SQL Server DB Administration experience
- Industry certifications would be an asset
We are looking for about 5 - 10 years of experience for this position. Telecommuting is an option.
