End of an era

A demolition crew marked the end of an era when it tore down one of Vancouver's gay landmarks on Nov 30.

The space will soon be home to supportive housing for HIV-positive people, as Darren Kopetsky of McLaren Housing tells Xtra videographer James Loewen.

No word yet on how the Odyssey's search for a new home is progressing.

Wah Wah. Who cares? Are we going to start honoring bars now? Priorities! Get a life! At least something good will be in its place.

????
You know, back in the 80s, I was very upset when my beloved Shakers closed down. I was a teenager back then. Do I have the same feelings for the Odyssey, or other nightclubs, that might be closing now? NO! Who cares where the O moves to?

buh bye
There are NO good memories of The O. It was a drug infested overpriced DUMP and no one is going to miss it. Good riddance. Buh bye.
