Pariah, one of the biggest queer hits on the film festival circuit, is getting an advance screening at TIFF Bell Lightbox on Jan 12, one day before its general release on Jan 13.

The film is the story of a 17-year-old lesbian living in Brooklyn who must face the challenges of coming out to her African-American family. It is the feature debut of writer/director Dee Rees; Spike Lee was the executive producer.

Pariah premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival and also screened at TIFF in September.
