It’s that wonderful time of year again: the gay Christmas choir season. And this coming weekend is a busy one.
“The show is called Shining Night,” says Howie Dayton, president of Singing Out. “It’s a selection of songs that invoke humour and bring about the spirit of the holidays.”
The choir, which welcomes all who want to sing, will deliver a program that will be especially welcoming to queer communities.
Over at the Metropolitan United Church (56 Queen St W), Forte: The Toronto’s Men’s Chorus
will be belting out its seasonal tunes. The program, called Comfort and Joy
, will also include readings by former mayor David Miller and Rex Harrington.
Forte's performance is also on Saturday, Dec 15 at 7:30pm. Tickets are $25 in advance
and $30 at the door.
