david sereda in concert on 12 12 12: yearning, hope & desire
This month, david sereda celebrates 33 1/3 years of making music and theatre. He's built a national reputation as singer/songwriter, composer, theatre artist, voice and songwriting coach and producer. He's known as the "dogcatcher" for the Stray Dog Salons, has worked as Associate Artist with Sheatre for ten years and has been guest soloist with such notable ensembles as the Nova Scotia Mass Choir, Montreal Jubilation Choir, Vancouver Men's Chorus and (on Sunday Dec. 9!) Toronto's Echo Women's Choir.
He's also answered the call when organizations and causes have needed entertainment for fundraisers or rallies or marches.
But on 12 12 12 (December 12, 2012) he's solely focused on singing his heart out, solo. He takes the Green Door Cabaret stage with tunes from his own songbook, from favourite songwriters, his original musicals and musicals and CDs-to-be. (Okay, and maybe – maybe – a Christmas song.)
And sereda does take the stage, commands it with a soaring voice, breathtaking intimacy and loopy humour. His songs give you goosebumps one minute then make you laugh out loud the next. Songs of yearning, hope and desire, with a voice that cuts to the heart.
Hear a truly modern troubadour at the top of his form at a sweet little venue!
"sereda has a richness in his voice most singers could only imagine possessing… captivating, soulful and spontaneous."

“david sereda’s range as a singer-songwriter is breathtaking…Strictly speaking, he is comparable to no one. Rather, those who follow will have to be compared with him.”
