Description
Toronto Mendelssohn Choir Singsation - Britten’s Saint Nicolas Cantata. A choral workshop for everyone who loves to sing, no matter the level. Join conductor Mark Vuorinen for the story of Saint Nicolas set to music by Benjamin Britten. This cantata was Britten’s first professional work intended primarily for performance by amateur musicians. Mark is the Artistic Director and Conductor of two choral ensembles: Kitchener-Waterloo’s Grand Philharmonic Choir and the Toronto Chamber Choir. He is also an active church musician and is currently the George Black Fellow in Sacred Music at the Church of the Redeemer. During our successful 2011-12 season, between 75 and 135 singers joined us for each workshop. $10 includes refreshments. Bring your voice, we provide the music.
