Canadian Lesbian & Gay Archives presents: AT THE SAME TIME – Exhibition and Book Launch OPENING RECEPTION and BOOK LAUNCH Friday August 10, 7:30 – 10 pm At the Same Time is a PHOTO EXHIBITION highlighting the personal romantic relationships of six artists in the LGBT community from three different parts of the world: Steven Beckly and Dylan MacNeil (Toronto, ON), Ted Kerr and Zachary Ayotte (Brooklyn, NY), and Colin Quinn and Oisín Share (Manchester, UK). The exhibition includes a BOOK LAUNCH for the publication of the same name. "At the Same Time" includes 65 colour images by the six artists, and features essays by AA Bronson, Paul Mgapi Sepuya, and Sholem Krishtalka. Artists will be present during the opening to sign copies. Curator’s Tour Saturday August 11, 2 pm Join us for an exhibition tour and discussion with CLGA exhibition coordinator Cressida Frey and artist Ted Kerr as they take you on a casual walkthrough of At the Same Time. 2. Ties that Bind: A Reading with Sarah Schulman, Farzana Doctor, and Shani Mootoo Saturday August 11, 4 pm Sarah Schulman is an American novelist and the author of Ties That Bind: Familial Homophobia and Its Consequences. Schulman is joined by acclaimed Canadian novelist Farzana Doctor and writer/visual artist Shani Mootoo to participate in an evening of selected readings from Ties That Bind.
