Women Coming Out Support Group
Are you questioning your sexual orientation, or actually coming out as a lesbian or bisexual woman and need confidential advice and support?
Are you attracted to or even in love with another woman, but you have no idea what to do about it?
Are you married and you think you could be bisexual or lesbian, but you don't know who to turn to for real help?
We welcome you to join an 8-week topic focused support group with other women who are questioning their sexual orientations, and lesbians and bisexual women who are coming out in a safe and confidential environment.
Starting February 7th, 2011 we will be offering a Woman’s closed 8-week coming out group. This group will offer a safe, confidential place where women, regardless of age or ethnicity, can explore their feelings of fear, guilt, shame, excitement and even hope. Some of the many issues to be discussed will include coming out to self, friends, family and work associates in addition to issues around spirituality, labels, dating and relationships with other women.
If you are a woman, over the age of 18, and are in any stage of coming out, email womencomingout@mcctoronto.com with your confidential contact information and the group leader will contact you within 48hrs. Groups will be held at MCC Toronto located at 115 Simpson Avenue (Broadview / Gerrard).
