Toronto Leather Pride
Toronto Leather Pride is an exciting new event, it will take place in conjunction with the Church Street Fetish Fair (Summer Fair), which saw approximately 30,000 people attend last year. The weekend events will be geared towards the Leather/BDSM/Fetish/Kink Community and we expect at least 50,000 people to attend through-out the weekend, if not more!
Incorporated into the weekend is “Leather Ball 17”, which will be preceded by the Mr. Leatherman Toronto 2012 (MLT 2012) and the Bootblack Toronto 2012 (BBT 2012) competitions. The weekend begins on Thursday August 11, and will conclude on August 14, 2011 and will include events such as “Salute” (a tribute to our outgoing titleholders), VIP parities, ”Meet the Contestants”, and the Sunday celebration of “Toronto Leather Pride Day”.
As part of a volunteer-based, not-for-profit corporation, Toronto Leather Pride dedicated to producing events that celebrate Leather/BDSM/Kink/Fetish culture while promoting the LGBTTQ community and city.
Since 1996, our net proceeds have supported community services selected by our titleholders and the board of directors. Past recipients have included: Canadian Lesbian & Gay Archives; Theresa Group; Camp Oasis Canada; Metropolitan Community Church of Toronto; Community AIDS Treatment Information Exchange; Toronto People with AIDS Foundation; AIDS Committee of Toronto; Casey House Hospice and the Lesbian Gay Bi Trans Youth Line.
