Rexdale LGBTQ
My name is Terrence Rodriguez and I'm a trans FTM living and working in Rexdale. I've been working with youth for many years and for the past three years I've been working in a youth media arts centre.
Recently I realized that Rexdale has no support for the LGBTQ community and statistically speaking I couldn't even imagine how many people there are in Rexdale that are "In the Closet" because there are no safe spaces for queer people. So I would like to create more support in the community starting with the youth. I will be meeting with the principles from the local schools to see if we can start an after school support group. I've started a facebook page and need people to join and be active on the page (write on the wall, join the discussion, answer the polls) in order to get qualitative and quantitative proof of the need for support in the community.
