Description
Something for Everyone – Buy Local and Unique Gifts This Holiday Season Shopping for friends and family is exciting and fun for most, but for some this can be a source of stress, leaving them wondering: What should I get the friend that has everything? How can I get my sister something she will appreciate? What do brothers want?... and most important… How can I buy all of the people on my list a gift within a set budget? This year, a great place to check all the people off your list is at local craft shows. The Ottawa Artisans Guild is the City of Ottawa’s premier arts and crafts guild. Founded in 1974, with over 130 members showing paintings, jewellery, wood working, fabric arts, pottery, gourmet food, and much more, there is something to interest everyone. This fall, the Ottawa Artisans Guild will host three Christmas markets throughout the city. The longest- running show takes place at Lester B. Pearson High School, 2072 Jasmine Crescent, on November 10-11. Last year saw the introduction of two new locations, which you can visit again this year- the Rockland River Rock Inn at 2808 Chamberland Street on November 17-18, and the last market of the year in the fast-growing community of Riverside South, at St. Francis Xavier High School, 3740 Spratt Road on December 1.
