Description
Girl on Girl on Girl Comedy Show: Gay Ladies Show You Their Ha-Ha After a successful 2011 North East tour, DeAnne Smith and Jess Salomon are bringing the Girl on Girl on Girl Comedy Show back to Ottawa! Because while lesbians have a sense of humor all over the North East, they are the smartest in Ottawa. On Wednesday, November 21st, DeAnne and Jess, two of Montreal's most interesting comics (who also happen to be gay) are teaming up with host Greg Schroder and opening act Jenn Hayward for Girl on Girl on Girl at Mercury Lounge. "I'm doing the gayest set of my entire life … since last year's Girl on Girl on Girl," jokes headliner DeAnne Smith, who, in her seven year career, has appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe, the Just for Laughs and Melbourne International Comedy Festivals, and on NBC's Last Comic Standing, The Comedy Network, and HBO Canada. "And I mean 'gay' in a good way, of course." DeAnne, a two-time Canadian Comedy Award nominee, will be supported by hilarious war crimes lawyer-turned-comic Jess Salomon. "People often ask me: what made you decide to leave the law and pursue comedy? The dearth of hilarious lesbians," deadpans Jess Salomon. "Now with Girl on Girl on Girl, I know I made the right decision." While many comics focus on the "men are so different from women" line, there are plenty of laughs to be had in lesbiandom. Girl on Girl on Girl Comedy Show November 21st at 8:00 pm Mercury Lounge, 56 Byward Market SQ Tickets $10 in advance and $15 at the door www.mercurylounge.com
