Ronnie Burkett's latest play,
Penny Plain
, is billed as "an end-of-the-world-romance." The show is curently running at the National Arts Centre.
Xtra
's Alistair Newton sat down with the world-famous puppeteer to speak about his craft, the new show and the end of the world.
Burkett has won several awards, including the 2009 Siminovitch Prize in Theatre, a Village Voice Obie Award and four Citations of Excellence in the Art of Puppetry from the American Center of the Union Internationale de la Marionette.
Penny Plain
