The Paperboy
, a thriller set during the 1960s in the southern US, stars Matthew McConaughey, Zac Efron, Nicole Kidman and Macy Gray. It opens in theatres across Canada this weekend.
The film, directed by Lee Daniels, includes a substantial gay sub-plot involving Ward, one of the lead characters. Ward, who is played by McConaughey, fights for the freedom of others while harbouring a secret bondage fetish.
Below is an interview with Lee Daniels from the North American premiere of the film at the Toronto International Film Festival.
