Top five gays to look out for

5. John O’Regan/Diamond Rings: This dude is rather ambiguous about his sexuality, so I don’t know for sure that he’s gay. He’s not another Ricky Martin; he’s just doing this whole androgyny, no-sexuality thing, which is pathetic or fascinating, depending on how you look at it. He has legions of fans, gay and straight, and his theatrical videos and stage shows have made him a YouTube sensation. If he plays his cards right and releases some pop hits, we might hear someone other than Gaga or Rihanna on top 40 radio for a change. Can you imagine?

4. Kathlyn Beatty: Warren Beatty and Annette Bening’s teenaged daughter told her movie-star parents that she wants a sex change; the announcement has allegedly caused a rift between her mom and dad. (She’s supportive, and he’s not). Something tells me that with parents like Warren Beatty and Annette Bening, whether Kathlyn is a boy or a girl, she won’t have any trouble finding someone to jump in her bed and will probably end up with an Oscar or two in the process. Shirley-fucking-MacLaine is her aunt. 'Nough said!

3. Chris Colfer: I hate him. I hate him because he’s sweet, smart and talented. With Ryan Murphy mentoring him on the set of Glee, he has written the screenplay for Struck By Lightning, which will film this summer, as well as the pilot for the '60s children's book The Leftover Witch, which is reportedly scheduled to be picked up this fall. Did I mention this bitch is only 20?

2. Princess Boy: I first saw Dyson Kilodavis on The Joy Behar Show. His mom had written a book called My Princess Boy about her adorable son who loves to wear dresses, play with dolls and pretend to be a princess. Uhm, who doesn’t? You can find the clip of Dyson and his mom chatting with Joy on YouTube. It’ll warm your heart and make you believe that maybe things are getting better because little princess boys are also little soldiers, helping in the fight for equality. You go, girl!

1. Shiloh Jolie-Pitt: Okay, I’m probably going to get sued or assassinated for saying this, but doesn’t she look like a little Ellen? Regardless, Shiloh is already gorgeous, and whether she grows up gay or straight, her last name is JOLIE-PITT. So watch yourself.

The Rape of Ganymede

The Rape of Ganymede by Peter Paul Rubens

Straight men are the bane of my existence. There just isn’t enough alcohol in the world to get them all drunk enough to sleep with me.

But what if we lived in a world where a little vodka-cran-roofie combo wasn’t needed to get your best friend’s boyfriend to drop trou and jump in bed?

In ancient Greece there was no such thing as gay or straight. Sexual and romantic relationships were based on the attraction between two people, regardless of gender. So what happened? When did sexuality become so black and white?

Just imagine how it could be was and all the money you could save at the liquor store!

Check out this video on Zeus and Ganymede’s ro-homo-mance, one of the oldest gay love stories of all time.

The day of celebrating the contents of Paris Hilton's purse

Well, not all of them. There aren’t enough hours in the day.

As someone who's been around...the world, I will say that BC is known for a certain something. I'm not talking about the scenic mountains or ocean, the friendly people or even the flannel-wearing hipster bastards. BC's true claim to fame is for producing the calibre of bud Paris Hilton carries in her Chanel clutch. The one that belongs to her "friend," naturally.

Today at the Vancouver Art Gallery, one of the biggest 420 celebrations in Canada is taking place. Pot-loving celebs have even been known to show up for the party. Maybe you'll see Paris!

Or her friend...

HAPPY 420, VANCOUVER!

Madonna, Dita Von Teese and David LaChapelle inspire local fetish

Miriam Melanson, owner and designer of Flaming Angels Boutique, can make your twisted fantasies come true. Madonna is one of this local small-business owner’s style idols. So are pin-up girl Dita Von Teese and fashion legend David LaChapelle, who inspired her love of PVC. Miriam was kind enough to answer a few questions for Blitz and dish on how she offers an alternative to mass-produced kink.

Photographer: Nuno Silva Stylist: Nery Monzon Model: Josiah

Blitz & Shitz: What's the most outrageous costume you've ever designed?

Miriam Melanson: Around 10 years ago when I first was getting started, I did an internship at a costuming studio and had the opportunity to work on a corsetry order for a local drag queen. Creating a corset to reduce the waist of a man to the end result of a female silhouette was such an amazing project to get started on and has really helped shape my interest in a diverse and alternative culture in fashion.

B&S: What's the price range for your fetish wear?

MM: Booty shorts start at $40, and a custom corset for waist training can go up to $750. We really enjoy doing custom projects, and that is the main focus of our producing fetish wear. We know that those who attend special events are looking for something totally unique, and they want quality to match.

B&S: What made you start designing fetish?

MM: I was starting to attend Sin City fetish parties with friends and wanted really unique stuff for myself to wear to have a great time and meet new custom-clothing clients. Fetish parties are a visually stimulating place, so you want to put your best self forward and wear amazing garments to create an element of fantasy for yourself.

B&S: What kind of things can you custom make?

MM: Booty shorts, corsets, chaps, bondage pants, pencil or slit skirts, alternative suits and tuxedos, trench coats, nurse, maid and cop costumes, nun and priest costumes, straitjackets, etc. And of course, PVC.

B&S: Where can people find more info?

MM:Contacting us directly to tell us how we can dress you up! Email flamingangelsboutique@gmail.com or call 604-689-3224 for a consultation. We run our studio from our shop at 4307 Main St.

Reality killed the soap star

Like the blueprint for raging homosexuality that I am, I grew up watching soap operas. I watched The Young and the Restless in utero! I spent every summer vacation with my granny watching her “stories.” I have wanted to be Brooke Logan my whole life: a rich blonde bitch who marries one millionaire after the next and wakes up every morning with a full face of makeup and primped hair.

ABC has recently announced that All My Children and One Life to Live will be taken off the air this September. Sex, scandal and marriages between multiple men from the same family no longer titillate. People are entertained only if they’re watching some heifer try to lose 50 pounds on a reality show.

Agnes Nixon created both AMC and OLTL. She was a pioneer for the gay community, having been the first writer on daytime TV to focus on gay-themed storylines, introduce gay characters and cover the AIDS epidemic. As we say goodbye to two more television classics, check out a video of Agnes receiving her lifetime achievement award at the 2010 Daytime Emmys.
