I wanted to post this yesterday but y'all need to get your Prairie Fowl tickets, so better late than never.
Did you see Rafael Nadal get his career slam at this year's US Open on Monday? He is my favourite player on tour by far. I love tennis. I love Nadal. I love when he makes sweaty orgasm face on court. I love when he used to wear capris and mess around with his underwear between every point. I love it when he bites his trophies. I also love to think that I will eventually marry Nadal's biceps.
If you can make it to him being given the trophy... christ, so fucking cute:

First things first: did anyone catch my other boyfriend, Janko Tipsarevic, beating the snot outta Andy Roddick last night at the US Open?
3-6, 7-5, 6-3, 7-6, (7-4)... christ I love this guy's game, the tattoos, the weird on-court safety glasses. EVERYTHING!
In other news, it's Labour Day Long coming up and here are a couple events you should consider checking out.
1) The Final Boa Show - This is Joan-E's farewell to the Odyssey and the final night before its doors close. Do not miss this one.
2) UNITED ft DJ Eddie Martinez - Big Roger Events is holding their annual Labour Day mashup at Gorgomish. I'm a huge fan of Eddie. Obviously.
3) Apocalypstic - With the Odyssey closing, the Cobalt seems ready to step into the O's oversized, drag queen-sized shoes.

After a long week of writing, I decided to hunker down last night and watch some US Open matches. I love playing on hard courts and this is my favourite of the four annual tennis grand slams.
It turns out my longstanding dislike for Maria Screamapova has diminished over the past year and I was happy to see her sail through her match relatively untested. I even sat through most of La Roddick's match. Maybe it's the fact that his last name combines two of wink-wink nudge-nudge synonyms. Or maybe it's his habit of touching his business after every completed point and his unpredictable tennis tantrums (which make me think fondly of the times an ex of mine and I would have to walk home from the courts separately after our matches).

I hope he makes it far into the draw this year.
In other news: it's Labour Day. End of summer shenanigans. I'll be covering CruiseyT's final boat cruise on Sunday for Xtra West, so come on down and get your sail on.
Mexico's Isaac Escalante is in town for Pulse's Amped Saturday night. DJ Dreaddy is warm up. It sounds like he's agreed to do an Xtra Xposed next week. Here's your chance to hear him in advance if you haven't had the chance before.
