VANCOUVER! I'm flying back to you today from Montreal and can't wait to get back to you. Apparently I've missed the best part of summer, but I'm coming back with something amazing:

And thank you to Tourisme Montreal, the City of Montreal and all the fabulous people who live here, the incomparable Daniel Baylis, Sam, Joanie, Rosalie, Francois... and my fellow contestants Travis, Corey, Blake and yes, even Nathan.

Although I've been feeling SUPER mainstream, I’m still keeping it real from Montreal this week. Holla!

We’re 50% through the competition, and despite wondering if Montreal was going to be the answer to the big “What am I doing with my life” question, I’m pretty happy to say that I miss Vancouver and can’t wait to get back to all the people that make my life what it is.

Today we had a talent challenge — who’s the bigger drag queen? My second time in face definitely gave me mad respect for all the performers I know in Van: Joan-E, Robyn Graves, Jaylene, Raye Sunshine, Isolde N Barron, Miss Cotton, Symone, Carlotta, Connie Smudge, Syren…

I also really miss boyfriend Steve. Sad face. Wilted rose.

Today's hotness...it wasn't enough for this guy to be a supermodel. He's also training to compete for Australia for the 2012 Olympics. No big d. You know. Golden underwear, golden medal. Seems like a logical next step in any model's career.

Housekeeping first: 

1) So Lindsay Lohan was sentenced yesterday for some not-so-alleged substance abuse. She is an inspiration to me. No matter how low I sink, I can always sink lower. Rock bottom has never looked so mediocre!

2) If you're the type of queer who has feelings instead of a black hole where your feelings should be, good for you! It's a sign that you're still alive. Congratulations. The organizers for this year's Spiritual Pathways of Same-Sex Love Workshop on Cortez keep writing to ask me to write about their workshop. I figure they haven't actually read anything I post here, otherwise they would know that: a) I don't have a heart and b) I don't have a soul. 

In other news: if you haven't heard, the folks at Tourisme Montreal are cooking up quite the summer 2010 to-do.

That's right. Queer of the Year. It's open to the entire world, too. And after Tourisme Montreal taunted yours truly on Twitter and Facebook to submit a video, I did. They asked for it, so I'm asking you, Up Your Alley reader, to vote for me and give Tourisme Montreal what they asked for.

As thanks, if I end up going to Montreal for Pride, I promise to video blog the whole shebang for you. Salacious, sexy, inappropriately touching video blogging. Guaranteed.

Now, the secondary purpose is to get you to make a video yourself. The contest closes on July 15th. And our community is diverse, which means the more voices in this competition the better.

"When you are in town, what sort of gay things do you do?" - as far as kickers go, that's a first-question kick to the nuts. Bravo. 

It's been a bad week for thunder-stealing gays. Even my own boyfriend is engaging in said thunder stealing. Judas.
