What to do this weekend: UNO, FF, Body Break Spit, Hustla

Some fierce parties are happening this weekend! Here's the to-do list:

On Friday, Oct 7, come celebrate one year of the "new" Oasis (1240 Thurlow St) with their anniversary party, Uno. Oasis is continuously the most popular place for the gays or the fags or whatever you wanna call 'em to spend their Fridays. Performances by my girls Peter Breeze, Raye Sunshine and Syren!

DJ Adam Dreaddy has been getting me excited about a relaunch of Fag Fridays for quite some time and proves that good things come to those who wait! FF makes its debut at The Helm (1180 Howe St) Friday, Oct 7. Plan of attack? Why not check out Uno at Oasis and FF at The Helm? They're only a few blocks from each other and there's no cover at either.

If you see me stumbling around the West End in workout clothes, it's because I plan on finishing my Friday giving my Eastside boys some love at Body Break Spit at the Anza (3 West 8th Ave). Dress-up party! Need I say more?

Hustla is back on Saturday, Oct 8 at The Cobalt (917 Main St). The ultimate hip-hop extravaganza, thrown by sweet Peach Cobblah. Resident DJ Jef Leppard with DJ Thatssoraven are in the house. And don't miss a strip-hop performance by burlesque darling Crystal Precious.

Be sure to stock up on condoms and lube, generously donated by HIM (Health Initiative for Men), and have a happy and safe weekend!

Sugarbeach releases 'Come on Out' for 2011 Outgames

Have you heard "Come on Out," the theme song for the 2011 Outgames by local favourite Sugarbeach? "Come on out... come on out and play," the Australian–Canadian duo sing. The lesbians will interpret this to mean they should join a softball team, whereas the gays will take it as an invitation to play with some meat this afternoon on the patio at Oasis Ultra Lounge for Beefcake Saturdays. Come on out, indeed.

Let the games begin! But first, download the iTunes version of "Come on Out" to help get you in the mood.

FriGay the 13th

As if they haven't made a porno called FriGay the 13th! Who wouldn't want to see some twink getting plowed by a stud wearing a Jason mask? With what Xtra pays me, I'd even consider being said twink. Oh, who am I kidding... throw in a Freddy Krueger for some tag-team action, and I'd do it for free.

Why you ask, is 13 such an unlucky number? Well, there are several theories, but one of the oldest stems from the most famous dead man in the world, and no, I'm not talking about Michael Jackson and all the 13-year-olds he fucked. Z-z-zing! I'm referring to Jesus (Jesus Christ, not Madonna's former toy-boy, although I do like imagining him with a 13-inch cock). There were 13 guests at the Last Supper, and the 13th was the betrayer of all betrayers – the one Gaga clings to – Judas!

To get you in the mood for this cryptic day and for FriGay the 13th at Oasis tonight, check out Lady Gaga performing "Judas" at the Cannes Film Festival (below).

And to those of you who own a mask and camcorder, when should I come over?

So much to do, so little dime

The to-do list

Thursday, May 12: Hard Candy at Celebrities. Stick-stick-sticky and sweet.

Friday, May 13: Yelle at the Commodore, then FriGay the 13th at Oasis. If you're not there, they'll put a hex on you.

Saturday, May 14: Trash at The Cobalt. See previous post.

Sunday, May 15: To nurse your hangover or for a relaxing, lazy Sunday, head over to the Gallery Café for lunch and martinis on the patio. IT WILL NOT RAIN. Or try Barb's Big Birthday at Numbers. Donations will be taken at the door for Qmunity. And for all you lesbos, the hockey game will be playing on the big-screens!

What to do if you're totally lame and plan on staying in all weekend? Check out the trailer (below) for the campy 1982 classic Liquid Skywhich is one of the most ridiculously fabulous movies ever made and is heralded as the visual representation of electroclash music.
