It's been a long month of mustachery, but Vancouver, your manliest Movember mustache-grower was announced on Sunday night:

Congratulations to Kelly (above right) and thank you to everyone who supported Team Mo'ho over the last month. We raised more than $3,000 for prostate/testicular cancer, thanks to individual donations and the support of sponsors like the Waldorf Hotel, Lift Bar and Grill, the Rosewood Georgia Hotel, Hawksworth Restaurant, Oasis, 1181 Tight Lounge, Five Sixty, Canade T-shirts, MOGO Wear, The Cobalt, Sephora, Obsessions, Peking Lounge and Mine Salon.

If you guessed the winning mustache of Vancouver’s second annual Man of Movember Gala, you know we know you are the most hirsute of geniuses — and get this: we need your help!

Every year, hundreds of thousands of people around the world come together in support of prostate and testicular cancer research by growing a mustache. 

“The rules are simple: start Movember 1 clean-shaven and then grow a mustache for the entire month,” explains movember.ca. “The mustache becomes the ribbon for men’s health, the means by which awareness and funds are raised for prostate cancer.  Much like the commitment to run or walk for charity, the men of Movember commit to growing a mustache for 30 days.” 

On Nov 28, Vancouver’s GLBT community will come together to crown the Man of Movember at The Cobalt (917 Main St). 

If you’ve been growing a mustache, this is your time to shine. If you haven’t, here’s your chance to come and help raise money for a cure.

We are raffling off a Vancouver staycation, with all proceeds going to support the fundraising efforts of Team Mo’Ho.  

The first-place winner will receive the Man of Movember Blazer and coveted stainless-steel steer horns—for his (or her) mantelpiece of manliness. There will be sensational prizes for second and third, along with giveaways all night long.
