These are your Gay Top Model 2010 delegates, as announced Wednesday night at Charlie David's book launch at Little Sister's. The next event will be at Celebrities on Thursday, April 1, 2010. Get your tickets now. This is bound to sell out.

Gay Top Model 2010 made some announcements last night at Charlie David's book launch and let me tell you folks, the cuts were deep! Will have more on the Final 10 for 2010 on Friday. On a side note, it was interesting to see that one of my picks to make it to the top 3 actually looked completely different in person (Michael). The sign of a true model...awesome.

I ran into 2008 Gay Top Model winner Aaron Ursacki at the event and got to chat a bit with him. I also found out that Aaron was recently feature on the above site. I like its format and it's current "backelor" Kevin is actually very cute (particularly his baseball pics). Go Canadian bachelors! GRRRRRRRL!

After much speculation, I'm here to tell that she's back folks! SHE'S BACK!

She being Vancouver's Next Gay Top Model (conveniently shortened this year to Gay Top Model - and amen for that!)

This is the third year of top model shenanigans and auditions were held this past Saturday, Jan 23rd. Although I couldn't personally attend (up filming for Don't Quit Your Gay Job til about 5am the night before = no show from yours truly), there were some familiar faces in the crowd, like:

Shit girl! Isn't that 2008 Gay Top Model winner Aaron Ursacki? And still as cute as a button it seems. And a Parasuco model? GET REAL!

I have it on good authority that Gay Top Model 2009 wasn't there, however...I wonder what happened to that guy? (Anyone seen Calan recently?)

After being involved in last year's competition in a semi-judicial capacity, I'm pretty sure that I will be equally addicted to this year's sexy shenanigans. I have a vested (or preferrably unvested) interest. After all, Gay Top Model blends pagentry with spectacle. If that's not quintessential gayness, I don't know what is.

A regular Lurid Digs reader stopped me on Davie Street last weekend and congratulated me for joining the Digs panel. That's how popular that site is, people! SHAZAAM! The gays like it and I'm all for giving you a heads up here when my posts are going up there...jesus that was a weird sentence. Over here! Over there!

In other news, Vancouver's Next Gay Top Model is back for it's next latest and greatest incarnation. The 2010 edition may just turn out to be as popular as a late-night steamie from that new poutine restaurant on Davie St.  Auditions are this Saturday. Amongst all the challenges, work with our official photographer Nicholas Jang, a wardrobe challenge with Nancy Black Designs where he chooses to keep the outfit of his choice, and of course the overall voting, one lucky individual will be awarded the title of GAY TOP MODEL 2010.
