In case you missed all the diva action last night, check out some performance vids from last night's Vancouver's Next Drag Superstar preliminary rounds at Shine Nightclub! All videos shot by Bob Onoshi. 

Vancouver's Next Drag Superstar is back again this year, held at Shine Nightclub while Celebrities is under renovation. Last year's winner, Iona Whipp, experienced a whirlwind trip to New York City, where she spent the night with the RuPaul's Drag Race girls at their finale party! The winner this year will be travelling to NYC to party the night away with the cast of Season 5.

Check out my video interviews with some of last year's competitors as well as Drag Race's Shangela, who was one of the judges, to get an idea of what you can expect:

The best of Vancouver's queens will be competing in the preliminary round tonight. Doors open at 9pm, and the show starts at 10, with all proceeds benefiting the Dogwood Monarchist Society. Don't miss round two of the preliminaries on Jan 31, followed by the semifinals on Feb 7 and the finals on Feb 14 with judge Sharon Needles!

The third season of Showtime's hit show Shameless premiered Jan 13 and airs Sunday at 9pm ET. If you haven't been watching, you should check it out. As if the superb writing and acting, including Joan Cusack (Sheila Jackson) in all her comedic glory, isn't enough of a draw, hot ginger Cameron Monaghan (Ian Callagher) plays the gay soldier son of William H Macy (Frank Callagher).
